Hartford NEXT, Inc. (HNXT), the coalition of Hartford's 13 Neighborhood Revitalization Zones and the City of Hartford representing the collective voice of Hartford residents and stakeholders working to strengthen and grow our community, is hiring a Community Program Manager.
Position Overview
The highly motivated and collaborative Community Program Manager (CPM) will support Hartford's community training and workforce development initiatives by providing excellent program coordination and administrative support. This newly created and essential part-time role is designed to support HNXT’s leaders in effectively and successfully managing and delivering various community programs. Accordingly, the Community Program Manager will execute operational and administrative tasks associated with program management, including, but not limited to: participant recruitment and registration; training delivery coordination; information and data entry; and development of key relationships with Neighborhood Revitalization Zones (NRZs), local businesses, service providers and government agencies.
Position Description
As this is a new, part-time position, the Community Program Manager will have the opportunity to creatively contribute to program direction and growth. This grant funded position has the opportunity for an extended contract in subsequent years based on results. This position will report to the Executive Director and the Board of Directors.
The Community Program Manager will demonstrate professional capacity within training, education and/or workforce development, experience and knowledge of the Hartford area, as well as managerial, communication and collaboration skills necessary to execute associated managerial, operational and administrative tasks required to enable effective execution and attainment of defined objectives.
Responsibilities
Neighborhood Training Institute Program Coordination and Management (75%)
Partnership-Building (10%)
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public, Neighborhood Revitalization Zones, community stakeholders, aligned organizations, educational resources, and Hartford NEXT, Inc. committees and work groups in support of community and community economic development efforts in Hartford.
Community Outreach and Education (10%)
Evaluation (5%)
Perform other duties as assigned.
