The Part-Time Office Manager & Social Media Coordinator will provide virtual support to the Founder and Spiritual Director of Vedika Global, in managing her current online educational offerings in Ayurveda and Vedic Wisdom, assist in her marketing/public relations, Website management, and coordinate social media for her and her through her organization Vedika Global as well as ongoing administrative work for Vedika (see organization details below).

This position requires work from home and proactive self-starting individual.

Hours: 12-20 a week.

The person in this position is responsible for:

Administrative and office skills - Coordinating appointments and meetings and other day-to-day administrative duties such as answering answering incoming emails and social media account messages, scheduling travel, managing student communications, proofreading writing pieces and copy.

Plan for admissions for next years Online Ayurveda Course: Process registration, tuition payments and financial tracking, providing course information & access to learning materials, answering questions about the course, coordinating with the founder, assistant teacher(s), work trade, and volunteers.

Social media and website skills - Social media account post planning and regular posting (blogs, twitter, facebook, and instagram accounts of founder and her org. pertaining to her regular offerings, public activities and books - with regular postings. Update webpages as directed, light web design, drafting website content, finding and curating appropriate photos for posts.

Marketing and public relations skills - Assist with targeted marketing and outreach initiatives: duties include research assistance, assist coordinating speaking engagements, book releases, email list management, working on Founder’s personal newsletter creation and distribution, assist with media kits, and press releases.

Writing and editing skills - Editing and polishing written communications.

 Technological Experience-

Social Media Applications, Youtube, Google Suite, Canva, Web Development Platform, CRM/Email Automation Software

Educational Requirements:

A four-year college degree is preferred, preferably in marketing, media, english or literature.

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum of two years of work experience

Professional experience in publication, public relations, event management or communications office or academic environment

Strong oral and written skills (writing samples will be requested)

Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well both independently and within a team environment

Ability to prioritize tasks

Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Sharepoint, Outlook)

Social media skills required

Experience and Proficiency with posting blogs and updating websites online

Willingness to self-learn new software with minimum instruction
