The Volunteer Program Manager is responsible for the oversight and management of the volunteer program. This includes identifying, defining and supporting completion of volunteer opportunities within the organization, developing all volunteer materials and recruiting, training, and recognizing volunteers. The Volunteer Program Manager is responsible for coordinating and responding to all large group requests. The Volunteer Program Manager oversees the Volunteer Specialist position who is responsible for individual volunteer engagement and in-kind donations. The Volunteer Program Manager is a key member of the Development team, working closely with the team to ensure effective support for events, appeals and other cultivation and engagement activities as needed.


1. Bachelor's Degree required.

2. 5-7 years experience with volunteer management and knowledge of current trends related to volunteerism.

3. Community resource development experience.

4. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications and donor databases; Raisers Edge experience a plus.

5. Ability to work some evenings, weekends, and occasional travel.

6. Valid Washington State driver's license, car insurance and reliable vehicle.

7. Commitment to and passion for Friends of Youth's mission and programs.
