About Us:

We're Electric Girls - a small but mighty  New Orleans-based non-profit with the mission of building girls’ confidence and capabilities by engaging them through STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math). We run summer camps, after-school programs, Saturday programs, in-school programs, and 1-day community workshops; these programs are designed to give girls fundamental skills in electronics, computer programming, hand-tools, woodworking, robotics, and design, as well as give them the space, resources, and guidance to use these skills to build their own self-directed projects, and the opportunity to recognize their growth in these skills and ultimately identify with their abilities in STEM. We envision a world where every girl has access to opportunities to develop skills in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). Electric Girls got started in late 2014, was incorporated in spring of 2015, and has grown to work with a community of thousands of girls and their families per year.
