At TEP, middle school students learn history through an emphasis on text study - both primary and secondary sources. Join our Social Studies department and develop students' ability to comprehend and analyze historical texts while increasing their understanding of United States and World history. TEP students take 1 period of Social Studies each day from 5th through 8th grade, following the New York State Scope & Sequence. Each grade level has one Social Studies teacher who teaches all students on that grade level.
Qualifications: This position requires a minimum of 3 years of lead teaching experience, at least 2 of which must have been in 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th or 9th grade classrooms.
