Description

The Washington Episcopal School is seeking an Assistant Business Manager/Accountant to join its Business Office. The successful candidate will report to and work closely with the Finance Director in managing the day-to-day business operations.

 

Responsibilities include:


  • Day-to-day accounting operations
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Audit preparation
  • Payroll preparation
  • Retirement audit and 5500 preparation
  • Personnel records and human resources documentation
  • Other duties as assigned by the Finance Director


Qualifications include:


  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience; CPA preferred
  • Independent school experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency in the use of technology and complex data systems; knowledge of ADP and QuickBooks preferred
