Poder Latinx (PL) is dedicated to expanding civic and voter participation so that Latinx leaders rise to be prominent decision-makers in our democracy.

Our mission is to build a political wave where the Latinx community plays a key role in the transformation of our country, where immigrants, Latinx, and other people of color are decision-makers of our political process.


Field Lead $18 per hour / 35 Hours per week

Responsible for the daily motivation, management and supervision of operations in the field; the lead’s responsibility can range from voter registration, neighborhood surveying, representing the organization at events, and as a priority monitoring the team of canvassers they are responsible for. Leads should be drivers. They should also be responsible for following health and safety protocols, ensuring materials are sanitized, and PPEs are used properly. Each team will consist of 4 canvassers. Team leaders are expected to guide, recruit, and train canvassers, account for the work their team is doing, and turn in those results in a quantitative and qualitative report. Team leaders will report back to the field coordinator.


Canvasser $16 per hour/ 25- 30 hours a week

The canvasser is the team member in charge of registering, educating and informing our community. Their responsibilities can range from registering voters, canvassing neighborhoods, knocking on doors, and in case any events arise, the canvasser will be invited to represent the organization participating in them. Their goal is to provide accurate information, collect survey responses, and register voters to mobilize the community to exercise their right to vote. 

Job Requirements

  • We are looking for a person with interpersonal skills, who has the ability to communicate with others, and is willing to guide and educate the community.
  • Being able to stand for several hours, and sometimes it is necessary to walk in the sun. Work is usually done at the entrances of supermarkets or Latinx establishments.
  • You must be willing to work outdoors interacting with people.
  • You must have a vehicle to mobilize as our meeting spots can change depending on the territory that is assigned.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English)
  • Experience with voter registration with a plus
  • Locations will vary within Cobb, Clayton, Dekalb, Fulton, & Gwinnett counties
