Mission Asset Fund (MAF) is looking for an IT Manager to join MAF’s Operations Team. As the IT Manager, your primary responsibility will be to manage and maintain MAF’s hardware and software systems related to our operations, and to provide IT support.

This is the perfect role for a professional seeking to grow their technical skills in the context of working towards a critical mission. Reports to: COO 

Desired Skills and Experience  

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience with A+ and Linux+ certifications. 
  • 5+ years of experience working in IT operations
  • Experience leading and managing IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructures across various technologies
  • Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and phone systems
  • Experience troubleshooting systems and be skilled in database programming and software installation. 
  • In addition to being proficient with MAC and OS, you will be familiar with a range of software and hardware. 
  • A firm grasp on IT infrastructure and operations best practices
  • You have experience working on multiple projects simultaneously in small teams without compromising results
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
  • You have a good sense of humor, healthy interpersonal skills, and a “can do” positive attitude

 

Key Responsibilities 

IT Management

  • Oversee the functioning and security of MAF’s computer systems and electronic data, development, and implementation of customized systems, and overseeing all computer-related activities.
  • Ensure that IT activities are within the limits of applicable laws, codes, and regulations.
  • Implement security of the network, data and its storage and communication systems.
  • Lead IT projects, including the design and deployment of new IT systems and services.
  • Monitor performance of information technology systems to determine cost and productivity. levels, and to make recommendations for improving the IT infrastructure.
  • Help define IT infrastructure strategy, architecture, and processes. Evaluating risk, developing network recovery and backup processes.
  • Test, troubleshoot and adjust information systems to operate effectively.
  • Responsible for developing and updating IT policies and procedures.
  • Manage IT audit process.

IT Support

  • Provide IT support for the organization, while ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems.
  • Install and configure computer hardware and software.
  • Upgrade systems to enable compatible software.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to internal IT. You will be dealing directly with employees who have technical issues such as viruses and email issues, forgotten passwords, and other technical issues.
  • You may be expected to be on call and work beyond your shift to get the job done.

Compensation

USD 80,000 - USD 90,000

  • This is a full-time, fully remote position with an anticipated salary range of $80,000 - $90,000.
