Community Advocates for Family & Youth, Inc., Program Support Specialist is an integral member of the CAFY Team. The Program Support Specialist works closely with all members of the Programs Team, but especially the CEO, to ensure that all parts of CAFY’s programs run smoothly and equitably. This highly collaborative role oversees the collection of client information and paperwork, ensures the integrity of the programs side of the CAFY database, and partners with the CAFY Volunteer Team so they can be successful in recruiting volunteers for programs. The Program Support Specialist has a keen eye for detail, accuracy, is a supportive and collaborative team player, and ultimately is passionate about CAFY’s programs successfully carrying out our mission of serving survivors of crime and families. 

OK, But Let’s Get Specific. What’s Involved in This Job?

Ongoing Responsibilities:

  • Works as a confidential specialist to the CEO supporting scheduling, program data, timesheets, presentations, and the building of other systems, processes, and useful tools helpful to keeping CAFY growing and thriving.
  • Oversees client tracking and the collection of client paperwork, including surveys, program attendance, and client services;
  • Manages the programs side of the CAFY’s database and ensures that all referrals are and other program data are entered accurately and with integrity;
  • In coordination with the Victim Services Manager, supports the creation of program schedules and materials for Strengthening Family Programs;
  • Collaborates with the Volunteer Support Specialist to ensure program schedules are accurate for volunteer recruiting purposes;
  • Oversees and organizes program logistics for CAFY’s Community programs, including organizing red carpets and creating big show flyers and programs;
  • Supports communications and building community with clients, families, and schools, as partners and clients in tandem with the Outreach Coordinator;

Required Qualifications:

Experience working at an executive level with demanding tasks and community organizations and programs; Thorough and clear communication skills, both verbal and written; A keen eye for details and excellence; Thrives while working independently, collaboratively or with a team; Resilient and flexible with changing program logistics; A desire to see programs and mission carried out in an equitable way.

Desired Qualifications:

Experience in providing support at an executive level; Experience working with a team to implement projects and programs; Experience with Google Suite; Experience with a database; Experience with creative effective systems within a team.
