The Enrollment & Match Support Specialist is responsible for conducting both Potential Little Sister and Potential Big Sister assessments and making thoughtful match decisions with the goal of creating long and strong match relationships. The specialist will conduct assessments, manage caseload and make new match relationships. The specialist is also responsible for conducting match introductions to launch new match relationships and providing case management support to match participants to ensure longer and stronger match relationships.



Essential Functions, Responsibilities, and Activities:

  • Conduct in-office or at worksite assessments of potential volunteer mentors. Conduct in-school assessments of potential mentees.
  • Conduct assessments according to agency standards and meet monthly goals
  • Match potential volunteer mentors on caseload with potential mentees on wait list
  • Make thoughtful match decisions based on volunteer mentor and mentee preferences and other information gathered in interview.
  • Maintain an assigned caseload of approximately 90 School-Based matches
  • Contact volunteers, parents, and children according to agency standards based on length of match, in order to:
  • Provide on-going risk management and support to keep the match strong;
  • Discuss match activities, personal safety reminders, and accomplishments;
  • Make assessments and produce comprehensive documentation related to individual training needs, information, and support needs for each match participant
  • Share information about agency activities, programs, and opportunities to donate
  • Maintain all administrative aspects of the matches including preparing, collecting and updating all forms, keeping accurate records and updating the AIM database with relevant case information
  • Write and input comprehensive documentation regarding match participant discussions within agency database according to BBBSA and agency timeframes and standards for every touch point with a match participant
  • Administer match surveys and annual outcome evaluations with parent, child and volunteer
  • Facilitate match introductions and match closures according to agency standards
  • Re-engage volunteers, children and parents as appropriate after match closure
  • Attend match activities as assigned, seeking opportunities to make meaningful in-person contacts with matches
  • Regularly visit school sites to provide on-site support and assure program quality standards
  • Promote positive relationships and ongoing collaboration with school personnel and community
  • Become familiar with community resources for client information/referral and share knowledge and information with staff members as appropriate
  • Attend and participate in all team, staff and program meetings
  • Participate in weekly supervision to share pertinent information and escalate issues as they arise
  • Assist with agency special events as requested
  • Other duties as assigned by direct supervisor



Education, Experience, and Other Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required and Master’s degree preferred in social or human sciences, such as social work, sociology or psychology
  • One year experience in a non-clinical case management environment preferred and within a role that required a heavy volume of phone work for extended periods of time
  • Access to a car strongly preferred
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel and keyboard skills
  • Prior experience working with a database helpful
  • Availability and flexibility to work weekday evenings and weekends on a regular basis, as well as travel to varying local venues
  • Flexibility to work with diverse populations
  • Bilingual fluency in English/Mandarin/Cantonese preferred
  • Bilingual fluency in English/Spanish preferred
  • Sensitivity to and experience in working with girls and women
