A full-time position is available at Hope Sheds Light for an enthusiastic, self-starter energized by the idea of working in and contributing to a rapidly growing community-based nonprofit. Candidate needs to be organized with excellent verbal and written communication and computer skills. Candidate also needs to have a valid Driver’s License.
The program coordinator should be a solution-based professional who has a contagious positive outlook. A person who can work independently and as part of a team and manage and move multiple projects at one time. The program coordinator is someone who believes recovery from a substance use disorder is possible and will look forward to energizing and engaging others to help turn the tide on the opioid epidemic and addiction.
The ideal candidate will have experience and or knowledge of the recovery community organization movement (RCO), be able to prepare and present community education workshops and trainings, speak to inspire family group meetings, represent the agency at local planning meetings and events as well as carry out special projects as assigned.
Priority will be given to a candidate who has a personal connection to our mission and considers him/herself a recovery ally, family member or a person with direct lived experience with the disease of addiction.
A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred. We will accept applications from candidates with an associate degree in a related field who is CCAR Certified and has previous drug and alcohol prevention, treatment and/or recovery support services experience.
