Position Overview:


The Children’s Health Fund (CHF) is seeking a Digital Organizing Manager (DOM) who is passionate about both children’s health and building online communities that support CHF’s work and mission. 


The DOM will oversee audience growth and engagement, content planning, production, and posting across social channels to achieve the organization’s goals. The DOM has experience managing and growing social media platforms for nonprofits that work at the intersection of on-the-ground programs and advocacy/policy with a strong agenda around brand building and fundraising.


The DOM will be enthusiastic about keeping current on the latest digital trends and have experience producing quality, engaging content in a range of formats while managing online communities and maximizing reach. The ideal candidate will have experience working on a communications/marketing team and collaborating to create awareness plans and campaigns and should be adept at coordinating content across the digital ecosystem. 

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Oversee and manage all social media accounts;
  • Design and implement social media strategies, schedules, and content to support communication goals;
  • Formulate high-quality written and visual content reflective of our distinct organizational voice and values both with quick and long-lead deadlines. 
  • Build brand awareness by engaging relevant influencers and by researching ways to attract more followers/grow engagement;
  • Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor comments to ensure respectful and appropriate engagement.
  • Stay up-to-date with trends in social media, current technologies, design tools, and applications;
  • Plan, implement, and monitor paid social campaigns. 
  • Analyze data/metrics to inform daily tactical and long-term planning; produce and present related reporting. 
  • Coach employees on content creation best practices;
  • Coach and support key employees to become social media influencers;
  • Create video/graphic content or be able to seek out and collaborate with freelancers that do so;
  • Use solid knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics;
  • Pitch creative concepts for social media initiatives and campaigns;
  • Attend events to create real-time content and for future efforts.


Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and/or four years of experience in a communications department or agency doing hands-on social media marketing with demonstrated success.
  • Strong interest in and commitment to causes related to children’s healthcare access, health equity, and social justice. 
  • The ability to produce well-written social content quickly and accurately around topics that range from light-hearted to serious.
  • Deep knowledge and demonstrated abilities across digital social platforms and management tools. 
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Detail-oriented project manager. 
  • Poise under high-stress conditions.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to conceptualize new ideas and the flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects, shifting priorities, and tight deadlines. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well both independently and collaboratively.
  • Motivated, proactive, and self-starting.
