Status: Full time salaried non-exempt position (40 hours a week LTE)

Salary: Starting salary of $65,000-$85,000 a year, eligible for a raise after 90 days

 Position Description: The Operations Manager will be responsible for supporting the administrative and human resources needs for TGI Justice Project’s staff of 16 in our San Francisco office. The ideal candidate for the role has significant experience doing administrative and human resources work for non-profits, is a clear and patient communicator, is organized and works well with little supervision.

PURPOSE: Reporting to the Director of Administration, the Operations Manager provides day-to-day assistance and management of all aspects of the TGIJP's internal operations, including fiscal management, human resources, and administrative functions. 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: The Operations Manager is responsible for the effective and efficient development and maintenance of the TGIJP’s internal administration. Duties include, but are not limited to:

Finance and HR (15%)

Assist with:

  • Account Payables: collect receipts, invoices and upload bills
  • Answer inquiries from employees and outside vendors regarding accounts payable and related matters and in a timely manner
  • Assist with preparation for the annual financial statement audit
  • Provide banking, payment and transfer information to funders and vendors after approval from director(s)
  • Assist in maintenance of investment
  • Assist with specific HR projects as needed

Operations and IT (85%)

  • Oversee the procurement of office supplies
  • Oversee operations manual 
  • Support employees in setting up appropriate work stations
  • Maintain office IT systems (phones, printers, copiers and fax)
  • Answer and troubleshoot IT issues for employees
  • Support in meeting subtenants needs
  • Distribute mail daily and send out mail as needed
  • Support event logistics for meetings and retreats
  • Assist with daily administration of 1349 Mission

Access Notes: This position occasionally requires lifting up to 50 lbs and driving a car. Reading and writing skills are also required. 

Hiring Process
