Description

Center Against Domestic Violence (shelter environment) is looking for Residential Aides for the following shifts:


  1. Sat: 8:00am-4:00pm/Sun:8:00am-12:00midnt(double shift)/Tues:4:0pm-12:00midnt/Wed:4:00pm-12:00midnt - Manhattan - Full Time;
  2. Sat/Sun: 8:00am-4:00pm/Mon-Tues-Fri:4:00pm-12:00midnt - Manhattan - Full Time;
  3. Monday: 12:00midnt-8:00am. The rest of the week - As needed - Per Diem;
  4. Sat/Sun/Mon/Tues/Fri: 4:00pm-12:00midnt - Brooklyn - Full Time.


Maintain safety and security of residents through regular round of the facility.

Provide timely, supportive responses to resident emergencies.

Conduct activities and play groups with children.

Encourage participation in support groups and other evening programs.

Enforce CADV rules and regulations for residents and visitors.

Respond to hot-line calls. Submit telephone screening intake forms to Directore of Social Services.

Register new residents, orient and assist them in their adjustment to the facility.

Enter resident attendance in SORTS system.

Complete and submit incident reports.

Attend workshops, trainings and other meetings as assigned.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Level of Language Proficiency

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:


High School Diploma.

Experience in a residential facility preferred.

Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) a plus.


SKILLS/CAPABILITIES REQUIRED:


Effective communication skills.

Sensitivity to diverse cultural needs.

Must obtain basic First Aid/CPR and the FDNY F-80 and F-02 Certificates after hire.
