CaringKind (formerly known as the Alzheimer's Association, New York City Chapter), is New York City’s leading expert on Alzheimer’s and dementia caregiving. For over thirty years we have provided information, confidential assistance and support, free of charge, throughout the five boroughs and beyond, for individuals and families affected by Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia. 

CaringKind’s mission is to create, deliver, and promote comprehensive and compassionate care and support services for individuals and families affected by Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, and to eliminate Alzheimer’s disease through the advancement of research. We achieve our mission by providing programs and services for individuals with dementia, their family and professional caregivers; increasing public awareness; collaborating with research centers; and informing public policy through advocacy.  

CaringKind seeks to hire an experienced Fundraising Grants Manager to help secure private support for a $6 million New York City non-profit organization. Responsibilities include working with program staff to develop marketable proposals for foundations, family foundations and corporate foundations, as well as building and maintaining a pipeline of funding sources, maintaining grant tracking reports, preparing letters of inquiry, acknowledgments, reports and other material related to the grant stewardship process.  

This position reports to the Senior Vice President of Development. 

Requirements are 3-5 years of grant writing and grant management experience, excellent communication and organization skills. Background in healthcare or human service desired, and knowledge of Raisers Edge helpful.
