Job purpose

The Campaign Coordinator develops and implements strategic coalition campaigns to advance workers rights and economic justice in San Francisco, with regional and statewide coordination and impact. The coordinator will be responsible for their own set of campaigns among those prioritized by the Jobs with Justice San Francisco (JwJSF) coalition. Currently, the campaign that the Coordinator will focus on is the San Francisco Green New Deal campaign—a campaign that centers and integrates economic, racial and environmental justice, and works to implement San Francisco’s climate goals while winning good, union jobs and equitable access to them.

The Coordinator will also have a key role in building the power of the JwJSF coalition across campaigns, including by strengthening solidarity between coalition organizations, member turnout and grassroots fundraising.

The coordinator is an integral part of a collaborative staff team that develops, plans, coordinates, and wins collective coalition campaigns. The coordinator contributes to the overall strategic direction of the coalition by supporting the coalition’s overall annual campaign planning processes, and providing direct insight into this process.

As part of a small team, it’s important that staff members are able to work collaboratively with good communication skills and with the flexibility to take on different projects in often fast-changing conditions. Being able to take initiative and work independently is also key.
