Our clients have ambitious dreams for their futures, but lack the opportunities needed to make those dreams a reality.

SUMMARY

 The Marketing Manager focuses on supporting the organization’s online fundraising efforts and content needs while working to promote Opportunity’s mission to current and potential donors. Through their work, they will expand Opportunity International’s base of supporters and advocates. They will create an environment where our supporters engage with us and are curious to come and learn more. They will be approachable and inviting, acting as the first line of communication for fans, followers, and donors. They will respond to feedback, answer questions, develop strong ties and guide supporters through the process of becoming a donor.

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

·      Manage all outgoing communications from the organization’s email system (transitioning to Blackbaud Luminate), which includes working cross-functionally with different departments to maintain accurate donor lists, set and manage timelines, and acquire all relevant key stakeholder feedback.

·      Design and manage the organization’s presence on all social channels (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram); develop the annual strategy, build, and design the content, track activity for reporting purposes.

·      Oversee the management of clients’ loan stories that are provided to corporate partners, including managing freelance writers, formatting final deliverables, processing the back end, and delivering the loans.

·      Manage and post outputs (posting videos, blogs, docs) for the Opportunity website.

·      Assist in troubleshooting website issues, working with donors to correct any issues with their donations or accounts; liaise with our third-party developers to see issues through to correction.

·      Project manage the bi-monthly online newsletter to support engagement efforts across all donors and prospects; includes editing, light writing, tracking, and coordination of all pieces.

·      Track all outgoing communications, from blogs to social media, to press releases to emails, and lead the Marketing team each week in reviewing and assessing the deliverables.

·      Manage Customer Service channels; respond to messages in a timely manner, source cross-functional support for answers when necessary; maintain a playbook of answers for consistency.

·      Identify opportunities to build efficiencies in the cross-functional processes that impact digital systems.

·      Research new software and systems as necessary

QUALIFICATIONS

·      4-year degree, preferably in marketing or journalism

·      3-5 years of marketing experience, with an emphasis on digital channels

·      3-5 years of experience managing multiple social media accounts.

·      3-5 years of experience managing an email platform, Blackbaud; Luminate a plus.

·      Skilled project manager

·      Proven ability to write impactful short-form content.

·      Excellent organization skills and attention to detail

·      Strong proofreading and grammar skills

·      Self-starter who can work independently.

·      Ability to manage time well and prioritize wisely.

·      Able to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

·      Proactive problem solver

·      Strong interpersonal skills

·      Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; e-mail applications.

 TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

·      Limited travel required.

o  May have occasional national travel to support major events.

o  Potential for international travel as opportunities arise.
