We empower people to  break the cycles of homelessness, welfare dependency, substance abuse, and  incarceration through innovative work and housing programs. 

We are seeking a Manager of Community Affairs to join our growing  team! Reporting to the Vice President of Business Development, this position is responsible for developing and maintaining key relationships and partnerships with multiple stakeholders, from government agencies to private enterprises and helping to shape and grow our organizational impact and position in the industries served by our social enterprises.. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Assist Recruitment and CIP Operations teams with representing TDF as part of the CCC initiative
  • Share information about RWA with community stakeholders 
  • Liaise with real estate management companies, BIDS, neighborhood associations, community boards, elected officials, residents to promote RWA CCC and explore opportunities for partnership.
  • Draft press releases and pitch stories about RWA/CCC crews to neighborhood press
  • Create compelling marketing materials and blog posts that promote RWA /CCC to various stakeholders
  • Interview and photograph trainees participating in RWA CCC and other stakeholders for Doe Fund newsletter and other outlets
  • Manage information request email inbox to forward inquiries related to BIDs, routes, CCC, and joining RWA to appropriate team members
  • Create social media related to CCC
  • Interview miscellaneous entities benefitting from CCC (local businesses, tenants, etc.) for use in marketing and collateral
  • Research and inventory community newspapers and neighborhood organizations for future outreach
  • Leverage market research to identify and present to possible clients for TDF’s social enterprises.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required 
  • Experience working in community outreach, market research, and sales.
  • Established relationships with elected representatives at the city and state level
  • Highly organized and strong attention to detail 
  • Excellent communication (verbal & written)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suit and Google Docs Suite

Salary commensurate with experience.
