JOB POSTING: Development Coordinator 


Neighborhood Trust Financial Partners (NTFP) seeks a mission-driven, detail-oriented and organized Development Coordinator to join our External Relations team.

Today, our Trusted Advisor workplace financial benefit service is in 29 states and includes customers such as Staples, FreshDirect, and Allen Health Care. 


POSITION DETAILS This entry-level position will report to the Associate Director of Development and work closely with the CEO and the External Relations team to support the critical functions of the team and ensure operational excellence. We are seeking a highly motivated candidate who is eager to learn about all aspects of mission-driven fundraising as a basis for growing in this dynamic and goal-driven field. 


Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): 

  • Database Management – Own all External Relations data and reporting. Enter, update, and correct data in Salesforce database; track and process donations; build contact lists; generate reports. 
  • Research – Research existing donors and prospects to help inform fundraising strategies; conference and speaking opportunities. Centralize external research as a resource for External Relations content development. 
  • Writing and Editing – Draft and submit small grant applications; draft donor acknowledgement letters; edit larger grant submissions, brochures, and other forms of written communications as needed. 
  • Project Management – “Manage up” across External Relations team members to support all fundraising deliverables and accountabilities. Track team tasks and activities; prepare weekly meeting materials; track all funder touch points, deadlines, and next steps; maintain research and media mentions repositories 
  • Support other External Relations needs including scheduling calls and meetings, site visit and event planning, mailings, and others. 


SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE


  • Bachelor’s degree required 
  • Excellent research, written and verbal communication skills 
  • Thorough researcher; dexterous and clear with complex information 
  • Exceptional listener with ability to identify separate background noise from critical takeaways 
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and resourceful 
  • Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively 
  • Adopts new skills, procedures, and systems quickly 
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple pressing deadlines 
  • Flexible attitude, comfortable with ambiguity and ability to push projects forward while end goal is in flux 
  • Handles confidential information sensitively and appropriately 
  • Comfortable working independently and collaborating with diverse personalities and work styles 
  • Intellectually curious and eager to learn about all aspects of mission-driven fundraising 
  • 1-3 years of experience in an office environment, with administrative experience preferred 
  • Familiarity with database systems, Salesforce preferred 
  • Experienced in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)
