Jewish Family Service is a 128-year-old non-profit organization providing social services to individuals and families in the Jewish and greater communities of the Puget Sound region. We help people achieve well-being, health and stability.

We are currently seeking a Development Assistant to join our Development & Marketing team. This full-time (37.5 hours per week) position is responsible for providing administrative support for agency development efforts. This position will support the Development & Marketing Team by providing database maintenance, campaign reporting, note taking, project coordination, and special event support. This position will be working remotely to start and then will be located in the Seattle office on Capitol Hill. There will be occasional work at the sites of special events and overtime may be requested occasionally.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as subject matter expert on the agency’s donor database system (Raiser’s Edge).
  • Create, run, and maintain dashboards, reports, mailing lists, queries, and exports.
  • Assist with data entry and data updates.
  • Run regular data quality audits.
  • Assist in the creation/update of processes and procedures as needed to ensure continuous
  • improvement and consistency and completeness of data.
  • Assist other Data Services team members as needed, including other system support and during major
  • agency events
  • Enters donor information into the donor database, Raiser’s Edge, for event registration.
  • Provide support as needed for development events, including the annual Luncheon.
  • Coordinate and takes notes at team meetings.
  • Acts as project manager for development mailings including, direct mail, holiday cards, event
  • invitations, and CEO updates.
  • Works closely with Donor Relations Coordinator to provide support during busy times.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1-3 years’ experience working with CRM database systems preferred (Raiser’s Edge a plus).
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new systems and technology quickly.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, specifically regarding data entry and data integrity.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Demonstrate ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment and work collaboratively with
  • multiple and diverse teams.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, and project management software (such as Asana) experience a plus.
  • Ability to work independently as well as a strong commitment to teamwork.
  • A mission-driven desire to work in a human services environment.
