DIGITAL MARKETING CONSULTANT

Stupid Cancer’s Digital Marketing Consultant is principally responsible for strategizing, implementing and ideating digital strategy, scaling engagement, supporting marketing and communications outreach and espousing the organization's brand, impact and mission across all social and digital channels.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create and oversee a comprehensive digital strategy for Stupid Cancer
  • Adapt, develop, and ideate Stupid Cancer’s digital presence and brand voice
  • Social listening, digital support, and analytics reporting
  • Innovate digital marketing growth and brand identity strategies
  • Drive engagement to build new–and fostering existing–communities.
  • Make recommendations on improving efficiencies and effectivity
  • Coordinate cross-departmental web and social media projects, particularly at the intersection of fundraising campaigns, live events and program-specific marketing needs such as Meetups, TOAST, earned media, and CancerCon.
  • Design, develop, and execute digital promotions and promotional content for Stupid Cancer’s eCommerce Store


QUALIFICATIONS

  • A bachelor's degree, preferably with a concentration in digital marketing, social media, communications and/or journalism
  • A minimum of 4 years of related professional experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of full-time experience in digital marketing


CANDIDATE REQUISITES

  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously and take initiative
  • Effectiveness in working or volunteering in a non-profit organization that is focused on maintaining high quality work and low overhead 
  • Prior success building relationships with diverse groups of people
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States; no sponsorship provided 


MUST-HAVE SKILLS

  • Exceptional writing and storytelling skills
  • Expertise with Social media platforms
  • FB, TW, IG Posts/Stories/Live/TV, Snap
  • Expertise with Social/Digital analytics
  • Facebook/Google Analytics + AdWords
  • Analytics Tools (HootSuite, FB Boost, SuperMetrics, Sprout)
  • SEO/SEM
  • Understanding of iOS, Android, Mac and PC platforms


NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS

  • Graphic design (Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • Nonlinear video editing (Premiere/Final Cut Pro)
  • CRM platforms (Salesforce.)
  • Coding (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
