Details: $75 per assignment (which works out to roughly $25 per hour)
The National Community Reinvestment Coalition (NCRC) is hiring civil rights investigators in the Virginia Beach metro area! This is part-time, flexible work that pays about $25 per hour.
We conduct civil rights "testing." For example, if we believe that a bank is engaging in gender discrimination, we'll hire a man and a woman to go to that bank on the same day, and ask about a particular type of loan. These investigators (or "testers") then report back to us how they were treated. If we find that a bank has established a pattern of discriminating, we'll file a complaint against them.
There will be a mandatory training for testers in Norfolk, VA on the evening of Monday, November 5th, from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM. Everyone who attends, and stays until the end, will receive $75. After the training is completed, testers can take assignments at whatever times are convenient for them.
If you're interested in attending, please email your resume to email@example.com. If you have any questions, please email them to the same address.
Please be aware that because of grant restrictions, we cannot hire anyone who has worked for a bank or real estate agency within the past twelve months, and we cannot hire anyone who has ever been convicted of a felony, or a crime of dishonesty.
