Program Assistant, Patient-Centered Mental Health in Pediatric Primary Care

The Resource for Advancing Children’s Health (REACH) Institute is a 501c3 non-profit organization based in New York City.  Our mission is to ensure that the most effective scientifically proven mental health care reaches all children and families.

Led by national leaders in child psychiatry, psychology, and pediatrics, REACH arms individuals and institutions with the best, evidence-based therapies to improve the mental health of children and adolescents. We train primary care and mental health practitioners, school personnel, and parents and their advocates in the most effective mental health care interventions.

We are currently hiring a Program Assistant to help coordinate REACH’s national medical education program, our Patient-Centered Mental Health in Pediatric Primary Care (PPP) Program. This person will work closely with the Program’s manager to coordinate training programs and manage logistics for learning calls.  

 

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with virtual and on-site coordination of the PPP program  
  • Preparing surveys for virtual and in-person training programs
  • Coordinating communication and logistics for post-conference learning calls  
  • Preparing and distributing notes and surveys for program learning calls
  • Submitting CME documentation for participants to REACH’s accreditation provider
  • Responding to email and phone inquiries regarding the program
  • Creating and entering information for program faculty payments as needed

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Survey Monkey, Zoom, and G Suite products (Google Docs, Google Sheets)
  • Experience providing administrative assistance to programs
  • Ability to work well independently
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong writing and note-taking skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a small team and with program participants 
  • Ability to travel during the work week and some weekends
  • Commitment to the REACH mission
  • Knowledge of pediatric mental health and psychopharmacology a plus
