About the role  

The NYFF Production Coordinator works under the supervision of the Production Manager and Producer to execute a broad range of physical production tasks including festival-wide inventory oversight and management, resource control and distribution, and festival venue support. The coordinator works at a critical intersection of multiple departments and as such must be organized, adaptable, and communicative in order to ensure NYFF’s venues are operating correctly.


 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES

  • Works closely with the Production Manager to establish and maintain high-quality communications processes and methods across all festival staff/stakeholders;
  • Coordinates deliveries and cross-organizational inventories of sponsor products, festival signage, and other assets from pre-production to final wrap;
  • Coordinates the distribution and deployment of festival signage to all venues;
  • Coordinates with site managers and venue staff to ensure festival venues are properly equipped and supplied throughout the festival;
  • Trains and oversees the work of a cadre of festival production volunteers;
  • Oversees the setup and breakdown of Festival Merch stands throughout NYFF Venues including daily inventories, end of day reporting, and volunteer staffing;
  • Assists with the execution of site activations in festival spaces as required;
  • Assists NYFF Departments with material needs within festival venues as required;
  • details, coordinating with department stakeholders and outside vendors at the direction of the Production Manager;
  • Provides production support across festival venues as needed, including to Partner and outdoor venues;
  • Other administrative and production support tasks as assigned.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Experience in film festivals, live events, or conference production
  • Attention to detail and keen sense of organization
  • Comfort working independently and communicating effectively in a hybrid work environment
  • Comfortable with physically demanding, front line production work
  • Comfortable working out of our brick and mortar offices and at our venues during the festival
  • Grace under pressure
