The Information Technology and Innovation Foundation (ITIF), the world’s top think tank for science and technology policy, seeks a highly motivated and detail-oriented team player to provide logistical and editorial support to ITIF’s president and to assist ITIF’s COO in managing the organization’s administrative and operational systems.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, responsive, detail-oriented, and productive. He or she will be adept at managing both short-term and long-term deadlines, solving problems, and getting things done quickly with an eye for professional polish.

ITIF has earned its distinction as the world’s leader in science and technology policy by nimbly producing a large volume of high-caliber research reports, policy analysis and commentary, and by staging a rich program of panel discussions and other events, which it hosts in its Washington office and other locations. This role will play an important role in supporting all of this activity.


-Provide editorial support such as formatting and copyediting documents, endnotes, and PowerPoint presentations

-Compose, edit, and coordinate official and routine correspondence

-Support the organization’s accounting process by logging expenditures and preparing invoices, check requests, and expense reports

-Facilitate office administration by managing the organization’s main phone line, ordering office supplies, and managing other administrative systems

-Collaborate with ITIF’s event coordinator to schedule and support staff meetings and other internal functions

-Collaborate with the event coordinator to maintain ITIF’s contact database

-Coordinate travel arrangements

-Miscellaneous projects


-Strong ability to organize, prioritize, and deliver on tight deadlines

-Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work

-Ability to work well in a fast-paced, intensely focused team environment

-Self-motivation, problem-solving skills, and competence to work without tight supervision

-Professional business communication and interpersonal skills

-Excellent Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Internet skills
