Job Summary

The Youth Programs Manager plans and oversees all aspects of Interfaith Philadelphia’s youth programming for middle school through college-aged participants. The Youth Programs Manager will design strategic programs, manage all youth activity, and expand youth partnerships in the Greater Philadelphia Region, as well as take part in training youth and youth development professionals in interfaith and intergroup dialogue.

Responsibilities

·  Plan, oversee, and execute all aspects of Interfaith Philadelphia’s youth programming for middle school through college-aged participants including:

- Walking the Walk Youth Initiative – a cohort-based leadership program for high school students

    - Alternative Break Program – week or weekend -long interfaith programs in partnership with high schools and universities

    - Mosaic – neighborhood-based week-long arts summer camp

·        Maintain strategic perspective on the future of Interfaith Philadelphia’s youth programming, and collaborate with staff to accommodate changes and growth

·        Facilitate Alumni Committee and support their efforts to create alumni programming and support for youth and community programs

·        Facilitate relevant trainings and experiential programs for youth or youth development professionals

·        Develop relationships to build and maintain Youth Councils in relevant neighborhoods and towns, including Chester County

·        Supervise facilitators, part-time consultants, and interns working with Interfaith Philadelphia youth programs

·        Manage relevant grants, grant reports, and funder relationships

·        Evaluate and report on Interfaith Philadelphia youth programs

Qualifications and Skills

·        3-5 years of experience in program management and youth work

·        Familiarity with the city of Philadelphia and its neighborhoods

·        Experience and expertise in strategic long-term thinking and program design

·        Familiarity with faith communities

·        Strong facilitation skills

·        Proficient program evaluation

·        Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented

·        Creative thinking

·        Proven experience in supervision

·        Strong interpersonal skills

·        Basic knowledge of law around safety and care of minors

·        Experience in interfaith work a plus

·        Writing experience a plus
