Medical Department Coordinator - Posting # 20575

Sea Mar seeks a full time Medical Department Coordinator to work out of its central Administration office in south Seattle. The Medical Department Coordinator is responsible for providing executive-level support for Sea Mar’s Chief Medical Officer and Medical Department by coordinating a variety of elements for the department’s processes, providers and staff. Essential duties include: 

  • Maintain, update and coordinate the review process for the Medical Department Policy Manual.
  • Coordinate monthly Medical Directors meetings and twice a year All Provider Meetings.
  • Manage provider evaluation process.
  • Facilitate provider salaries and supplemental reimbursement process.
  • Serve as liaison between medical providers, Human Resources, Payroll and Credentialing departments regarding provider information and documentation.
  • Facilitate and coordinate annual provider Quality Improvement audits, including the bi-annual provider performance and chronic pain management audits.
  • Develop and maintain Medical Department spreadsheets and databases to ensure proper oversight and organization of the Medical Department.
  • Provide support and assistance to the Chief Medical Officer in their various functions, including professional development and training of medical department staff.
  • Provide Medical Department support to organization’s providers.
  • Maintain CMO’s schedule, and arrange CMO’s meetings and conferences.
  • Attend meetings as requested by the CMO.
  • Coordinate, support and follow-up on tasks assigned to CMO from other departments and/or Administration.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

The successful candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to compile, interpret, and utilize information; and to communicate effectively with people of all backgrounds and educational levels. Must be able to work with minimal supervision, use good judgement, meet deadlines, and prioritize workloads. Must be well organized and have good attention to detail. Must have intermediate computer skills, especially proficiency with Microsoft Office. Undergraduate degree required. Non-profit and/or healthcare experience a plus.
