Sr. Business Analyst

We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst to join our SEA Change Program

Reporting to the Program Director, the Senior Business Analyst will support the business processes of AAAS SEA Change through the development and management of technological solutions. This includes CRM development, data management, report and dashboard preparation, management of an application system, conducting business systems analysis & design, and providing technical support to various SEA Change stakeholders.

What You’ll Do 

  • Configure Salesforce software to meet requirements.
  • Perform quality assurance activities on implementations.
  • Train staff as needed on out-of-the-box and custom functionality in Salesforce.
  • Participate in efforts to develop and execute testing, training, and documentation.
  • Utilize best practices to perform operational support, enhancements, bug fixes as needed to the Salesforce.com platform.
  • Assist in training of new users, and grow the Salesforce.com skill set across the team.
  • Ensure data integrity/hygiene and contribute to best practices in CRM, including, but not limited to; data entry, data normalization, bulk edits, data migration from current/legacy systems, managing duplicates, and other day-to-day tasks. Manage and ensure data consistency. 
  • Generate reports, dashboards, and develop document templates in CRM. 
  • Manage Experience Cloud (Communities) with users.
  • Assist in conducting business systems analysis, data modeling, process flow modeling, and process re-engineering. Create processes and workflows. Participate in verification, testing and data integration related to CRM development and related systems.
  • Regularly meet with team to discover changes to business processes, technological functions, team roles and responsibilities, organization structures, and the impacts of these changes. Make recommendations for future development. Develop internal QA plan and audit/report on compliance. Identify, collect, monitor and report on QA metrics. 
  • Manage external vendor relationships.
  • Provide technical support to system users (members, applicants, reviewers, advisory committee, and other stakeholders), when needed. 
  • Provide third-party application recommendations and installs and configures apps.
  • Write technical documentation for processes in Salesforce and related 3rd party systems.

Minimum Qualifications 

  • College-level training leading to a bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience with Salesforce solutions.
  • Salesforce Administrator or Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator is a plus. 
  • Experience with Nonprofit Success Pack.
  • Experience managing Experience Cloud (Communities) with between 1,000-5,000 users (with intent to grow).
  • Experience applying technology to nonprofit organizations and working with memberships is a plus. 
  • Strong understanding of the Salesforce platform, with the ability to build custom apps and objects, formula fields, workflows, custom views, and other content of intermediate complexity.
  • In-depth knowledge of Salesforce products and their functionalities.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce.com best practices and functionality.
  • Strong data management abilities. 
  • Experience with Data loader and other Data Management tools.
  • Preferred experience building custom data integrations between Salesforce and other applications.
  • Nonprofit Cloud Certified and Community Cloud Certification is a plus.
