GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

The Program Coordinator of the Tech Allies Program will coordinate all aspects of the implementation and delivery of the Tech Allies Program (manage, implement or execute instead of deliver), including recruiting volunteers and elders, training volunteers, and working with trainers to implement the program. 

This position will assess new members of the community to determine eligibility for LBFE’s programs. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

●      Under the direction of the Executive Director, ensure that the program is being effectively delivered by facilitating site visits, volunteer orientations, and elder check-ins 

●      Using evaluation tools provided, perform evaluations of volunteers and older adults to ensure that program feedback is captured

●      Maintain communications between older adults, volunteers, and organizations

●      Recruitment of elders and volunteers

●      Coordinate the assessment of newly referred older adult

●      Provide regular program updates to the Executive Director

●      Update and maintain all documents pertaining to the program

●      Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Experience in supporting volunteers and staff

Experience working with the older adults and/or other community members

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment

Ability to work in a team-oriented environment

Computer competence, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, iPads, Google Suites, and Salesforce

Ability to provide support in getting the older adult connected to Wi-Fi

Ability to work effectively with diverse volunteers, staff, elderly and community members

Experience working in elder/tech programs

Experience working in a non-profit setting

Able to implement and supervise a positive safe and learning environment with volunteers

Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate a high degree of integrity.

Must pass a criminal background check

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

BA preferred or 2 years college (minimal 48 college units) with 2 years related experience
