Starting Salary:    Starting salary is commensurate with experience

Requirements:        

A.       Education: High School/GED Diploma, B.A. or B.S. preferred

B.       Experience: Three years work experience in homeownership counseling and/or mortgage lending, along with experience of online client data systems and HUD 9902. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication, strong client relations and organizational skills. Experience in real estate and/or mortgage lending may be substituted. Successful candidate will not be able to retain an active license.

C.        HUD Housing Counselor Certification is required.

D.       Driver’s license and personal vehicle are required.

General Description of Duties:

Under the direction of the Partnership’s Director, the senior homeownership counselor will be responsible for a full-range of client services, marketing, and industry relations.

Major Responsibilities:

Conducting and facilitating Harbel Housing educational workshops as well as community outreach programs.

Reviewing client intake packets, provide budget/credit, and pre-purchase homeownership counseling, to include conducting client follow-up.

Maintain physical client files and records, and prepare reports and program evaluations.

Prepare and submit government assistance funding packets for down payment and closing cost assistance programs offered by Baltimore County, Baltimore City, and other resources.

Schedule affiliates and loan officers as speakers for the Partnership’s educational workshops.

Prepare correspondence, workshop materials, and client marketing information.

Assist in the Partnership’s overall marketing and promotional activities, special events, and presentations.

Assist in the development of new initiatives, services, and programs.

Assist the Director with Partner relations and the operation of the Affiliates Program.

Assist the director in grant preparation and fund-raising activities.

Assist in the direction and supervision of administrative assistant and other housing counseling staff as the Partnership expands.
