CIVICUS exists to defend people power. As a growing global alliance of over 15,000 members in 188 countries, we work together to monitor violations of basic civic freedoms, call out the perpetrators of violations and strengthen the power of people to organise by supporting a more accountable, effective and innovative civil society. We strive to promote excluded voices, especially from the Global South.

The Impact & Accountability (I&A) Officer for European Union and European Commission (EU/EC) projects is responsible for the development and implementation of the monitoring, evaluation accountability and learning (MEAL) system tailored to meet the EU grant management standards for both the EU System for an Enabling Environment for Civil Society (EU SEE) and the Strengthening Global CSO Umbrella Organizations projects (EC Umbrella). In collaboration with the I&A Lead and wider I&A team, the role holder will also ensure that the project MEAL systems are fully aligned with CIVICUS’ Integrated Results Framework. In collaboration with project MEAL counterparts, the role holder will promote knowledge management and learning amongst consortium members and partners.  The role holder is responsible for ensuring that CIVICUS' organizational learning and accountability practices are embedded in project implementation to foster a culture of continuous improvement and transparency.
