Field Organizing Manager

The Field Organizing Manager will lead countywide campaign field work for a progressive electoral candidate for Montgomery County Council, At-Large, including managing staff organizers, community outreach, recruiting and managing volunteers, building relationships with community organizations and activists, staffing the candidate, and managing all the details of the field operations activities (door knocking, campaign literature drops, canvassing, visibilities, and other outreach). Tasks will include:

  • Plan & lead campaign outreach focused on inspiring volunteers and voters
  • Conduct community outreach to neighborhood & civic associations, congregations, PTAs, and other community groups
  • Staff Candidate for council at public events
  • Identify upcoming opportunities for field outreach building on campaign strategy
  • Supervise area field coordinator(s)
  • Manage and coordinate campaign volunteers 
  • Prepare materials and packets for volunteer outreach and canvassing -
  • Manage outreach logistics; supervise documentation and use of outreach results
  • Plan and execute election day coverage and GOTV


Political or other field organizing experience

Excellent communications skills

Level of Language Proficiency

No language skills required. Spanish or French would be a plus.
