The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) is the world's largest humanitarian agency, fighting hunger worldwide. We are seeking to fill an international consultancy position of a Data Products Lead - Integration & Analytics, based at Headquarters in Rome, Italy.





Under the general supervision and guidance of the Data Programme Manager, the role will be the liaison between TEC and the business community on requirements to utilize corporate data for decision-making. The Integration & Analytics team is dedicated to the design, develop, and deliver various projects in WFP’s corporate data warehouses (including data modelling, ETL, database application development) and reporting tools. These solutions provide services across multiple lines of business within the organization. 



Product Management

Lead the data product team responsible for Palantir Foundry, Tableau, SAP BW/BO and other systems and tools as required

Manage the product roadmaps, budget and timelines

Oversee delivery of projects focused on delivering integration, visualization, and analytics

Work actively with Business Engagement Managers (BEMs) and the Corporate Development teams to prioritize activities

Provide input on data governance and architecture mechanisms and ensure they are being adhered to across products

 

Data Demand & Business Alignment

 

Liaise with the Field Data Program and BEMs on data needs, ensuring products and roadmaps are aligned to needs articulated within business roadmaps

Consult business teams on their key business questions that having access to data integration, analytics, and visualization products can enable and scope out potential solutions

 

Liaise with IT Governance and Security

 

Support with Data Management Committee meeting and content preparation as needed

Assist in developing and maintaining risk and data privacy policies  

Qualifications & Experience Required

Education:

 

University Degree in one or more of the following disciplines: Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, Finance, Data Management, Statistics, Information Science, Information Technology, Information Management, or other related fields 

Experience:

 

At least 6 years of postgraduate progressively responsible experience in marketing, project management, data management or other relevant field; At least 3 years of experience in managing a team of 10+ (e.g. designers, modelers, developers, contractors);

Experience in developing project plans; Strong track record of delivering results in a complex environment;

Experience convening working groups and events with an audience of cross-functional subject matter experts;

Technical knowledge and understanding of data infrastructure, and an understanding of data visualization and data structures, and experience in working with a range of data visualization, manipulation, reporting and analytics tools;

Experience defining & implementing the strategy and technology roadmap that supports data integration, analytics, and visualization;

Ability to present complex matters using concise business terminology to influence a variety of audiences and possess exceptional verbal and written communications skills;

Strong client-orientation with the ability to build productive working relationships.

 

Language:

 

Fluency in oral and written English is essential. Intermediate knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish) or Portuguese (one of WFP’s working languages) is desirable.

WFP offers a competitive compensation package which will be determined by the contract type and selected candidate’s qualifications and experience.
