NATIONAL PARTNERSHIP FOR NEW AMERICANS The National Partnership for New Americans (NPNA) is a national multiethnic, multiracial partnership network of 43 immigrant and refugee rights organizations who together advocate for policies and programs to successfully integrate New Americans. NPNA exists to 1) strengthen immigrant and refugee voices in our nation by building the policy and program capacities of our member organizations, and 2) pursue policy campaigns with our members at the local, state, and federal level. 


OVERVIEW NPNA seeks an enthusiastic, mission-driven, and experienced Membership and Campaign Organizer who will play a key role in working with NPNA members and national partners to deepen NPNA’s policy and programmatic work while expanding and deepening NPNA’s membership and reach. The Membership and Campaign Organizer will support campaigns that further our policy platform and mission which include advancing components of the New Deal for New Americans, and the expanded VIDA overarching policy framework, with planks on citizenship, English, education, economy, legal services, welcoming communities, and health; the “Full Citizenship” campaign, to promote naturalization and civic engagement, and to break down barriers and suppression of immigrant voter engagement; and, the “We Are All America” campaign in support of refugees and asylum seekers. This person will work closely with NPNA members to strategically align NPNA campaigns and programs to meet the interests and capacity building needs of members. The Membership and Campaign Organizer will be entrusted with ensuring member engagement, strengthening the relationships between members and the organization, and tracking membership policy and program capacities to identify opportunities and gaps. This position is ideal for someone with an organizing or field background and a demonstrated interest in multi-ethnic movement building.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support NPNA campaign planning and execution, specifically as it relates to NPNA policy, program and advocacy priorities  
  • Identify opportunities to develop campaigns related to programs and policies and manage campaign execution, this includes setting goals, assessing progress, and evaluation of our campaigns 
  • Coordinate member engagement with the programs team and staff to ensure our programmatic work is in sync with our policy priorities
  • Work in close relationship with members to identify capacity building and technical assistance needs
  • Work closely to engage members in capacity building and campaign activities; assist with the execution of email and other marketing efforts
  • Assist with member communication and recruitment activities that drive attendance at NPNA events/webinars and increase use of online resources
  • Serve as main contact person for all member inquiries, membership applications, and member on-boarding processes
  • Develop and execute successful strategies to orient new members and build member engagement across NPNA programs and campaigns
  • Collect data, track membership statistics, and prepare reports to identify program capacity, gaps, and opportunities 
  • Help develop a membership database to coordinate and track member engagement across the organization. Support annual members renewals and new member recruitment
  • Prepare organizational marketing materials to reflect depth, reach and impact of NPNA membership
  • Collect, analyze, and report member feedback on NPNA programs and events/webinars
  • Develop and implement strategies and new resources to engage and track members engagement in programs and campaigns 
  • Track and summarize policy priorities of member organizations to inform NPNA’s national and federal advocacy efforts
  • Monitor and help to amplify social media activity of member organizations and flag pertinent items for the Communications, Programs, and Policy teams 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • A minimum of 1-2 years of community organizing, field, and building relationships with a broad set of organizations within the immigrant and refugee advocacy field
  • Experience managing grassroots and coalition building campaigns
  • Adept at developing member engagement and recruitment strategies with a specific focus on diverse new American serving organizations.
  • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and balance competing priorities
  • Self-driven, demonstrates creativity, personable and has a high level of professionalism
  • Demonstrated writing and editing skills; effective verbal communication skills
  • Comfort working independently, as well as part of a team; proactively collaborate with NPNA staff, members and other stakeholders on relevant projects
  • Multicultural competence and comfort with the ability to work with individuals of diverse backgrounds and to work across diverse constituencies. 
  • Language proficiency beyond English is a plus
  • Some basic graphic design experience and desktop publishing a plus

$52,000 - $55,000Commensurate with experience
