Dependent on experience and skills; please set expectations in your cover letter

We are an ambitious, mission-driven organization, with an engaged network of communities focused on youth development and skills-based training.

As a 100% remote working environment, we are geographically spread across the United States. We engage broadly with national level corporate partners and a small but dedicated individual donor base, who believe deeply in our local communities and support our ability to partner with schools and deliver the highest-quality service-learning programs to high school students.

We are establishing a best-in-class team to transform our organization into the premier platform in our sector.

We are soliciting interest from fundraising professionals who would like to join us on this two-year journey, and who can demonstrate direct experience building and delivery a fundraising team, structure, targets, and network to build out current revenue streams and identify new areas of development. Over the next three years, we plan to transform our ambitious $4M dollar nonprofit into a $10M+ national platform focused on skills-based training and service-learning.

This role is an exciting opportunity to partner with existing leadership to design and implement fundraising initiatives to expand our footprint and to scale our programming and, in tandem to elevate our brand value with and for our mission, partners and donors.

Depending on your previous experiences, you will either lead or support the design and coordination of fundraising strategies, and fundraise against those strategies, with a relentless focus to drive revenue and a growth model that establishes a vibrant and dynamic ecosystem engaged in our mission and our work.

Together, we will adopt benchmarked best practices in nonprofit development, establish creative fundraising strategies, and bring together networks to strengthen existing revenue streams and expand our donor base.

You will bring a broad experience in fundraising and development, and provide hands-on direction and oversight for a geographically distributed workforce; evaluating the current team and re-establishing a core team of fundraising professionals to ensure the longevity of our organization as a trusted and valued brand partner.

You will embody the highest standards of professionalism to serve as a collegial and influential member of the executive and management teams. You will serve as a catalyst to strengthen a culture of philanthropy intended to permeate all areas of our organization, and to lead and deliver on efforts that build and sustain the highest quality standards and coordinated cultivation and stewardship.

You will oversee and/or implement the establishment of effective fundraising systems, operations, and workflows to bring existing partners through donor journeys, establish pipeline development practices, prospect cultivation, bringing with you a network to reach further across areas of youth development and related funding.

Work closely with the organization's officers and local ambassadors, you will cultivate high-level existing partners and donors, and will engage your own networks in support of our mission.

We are anticipating broad interest from a wide range of professional experiences. What we expect consistently, is to learn of your demonstrated experience communicating the development and support of strategic, complex, and innovative fundraising plans, and executing against those plans to achieve diversified funding and sustainable growth. We would like to learn about your experiences working directly with senior colleagues or clients; your ability to effectively engage and strategize across many stakeholders, and your demonstrated experience to educate, mentor, or train peers and colleagues to promote a culture of philanthropy.

Additional skills, knowledge, and ability includes:

·       Demonstrated ability to strategically move individuals and institutions across the spectrum of prospect development. A demonstrated history of securing six, seven, or eight-figure gifts, including cultivation through solicitation and stewardship, as well as experience working with strategies for grooming next generation major gift donors.

·       Demonstrated ability planning and delivering on strategic marketing and communications in sights in support of philanthropic goals.

·       Experience identifying, inspiring, nurturing, and motivating board members and other volunteer leaders, and a sophisticated understanding of their role in building an effective philanthropic network.

·       Highly developed skills in organizational efficiency and project leadership, including demonstrated accomplishments while working with cross-functional teams.

·       Ability to extract and analyze data to make effective, efficient decisions about prospect/constituency engagement strategy and process.
