Historic Hudson Valley seeks an energetic, detail oriented individual to work in its very active Retail Sales department. Duties include: receiving, checking and pricing a large volume of merchandise; monitoring deliveries, troubleshooting and resolving shipping and return issues; maintaining shipping records; preparing and transporting merchandise and daily restocking of the museum shops. This position will report to the Assistant Buyer. 

 

The successful candidate will be well organized, computer literate (e.g. e-mail, Word, internet), familiar with POS systems, able to lift 50 lbs., and possess strong communication skills. A valid driver’s license is a must as is English fluency and a high school diploma or GED. Prior stockroom experience is a plus. This is a part-time, seasonal (April through December). Evening, weekend, and holiday hours are required in support of programs and events.
