Ça pousse! is a social economy program of the NDG Food Depot developed to meet the growing demands for of urban agriculture in Montreal. We build and maintain garden spaces and provide horticultural support and gardening activities to various institutions- from schools to health facilities to seniors' residences and community organizations- and assist them in the development their own urban agriculture projects. About the position:

As part of the rapid expansion of our operations, and to ensure the success of our various projects, we are currently looking to hire a project coordinator. The project coordinator will be responsible for the management our existing projects as well as supporting the design and scale, assessment of feasibility, implementation schedule, supervision of construction, and customer relations for new projects. The coordinator will be supported by the manager of Ca pousse! and will join a dynamic team of garden facilitators, builders, and horticulturalists.


Description of tasks:

• Work in collaboration with the manager of Ça pousse!, the production garden coordinator and clients to develop project concepts for Ca pousse!;

• Develop a work plan, budget and schedule for each project;

• Coordinate with Ça pousse! team to ensure that construction and facilitation needs of each project are met, and completed on time;

• Create and manage schedules for Ça pousse! contractors;

• Ensure the purchase and delivery of materials;

• Help manage the Ça pousse budget;

• Be the first point of contact for clients and maintain excellent customer relations;

• Participate in project evaluations;

• Contribute to grant requests and client reports.


Required profile:

• Excellent organizational skills;

• Strong knowledge of and experience in urban agriculture;

• Experience in project management;

• Experience training, supporting, and managing a team;

• Facilitation experience with children, youth and / or adults;

• Basic knowledge of financial management and budget monitoring;

• Interest in urban agriculture, education and the environment;

• Proficiency in French and English, both written and oral;

• Excellent written and verbal communication;

• Must have a valid driver's license;

• Experience in social entrepreneurship an asset;

• Experience with basic construction an asset;

• Experience working with a sales team an asset.


Conditions de travail :

·        Full time (35h/week)

·        $18/h

·        Start date: June 18th, 2018; 1-year contract with possibility of renewal

·        The Coordinator will be entitled to vacation pay (4%), sick leave and personal days during the term of the contract
