The Outreach Specialist AmeriCorps Member will serve individuals experiencing homelessness alongside Community Action House staff and volunteers, making an impact by building relationships, connecting individuals with mainstream housing resources, and leading in document readiness efforts to reduce barriers between clients and essential services. As a front-line role in a deeply engaged community, the AmeriCorps Member will also regularly interface with numerous partner organizations that are meeting needs to enhance collaboration and service delivery.

Benefits

a. AmeriCorps Members will receive a living stipend of $14,279 paid bi-weekly. 

b. Members will receive an Educational Award of $6,195 upon successful completion of service.

c. The program will provide health care coverage for full-time members, if they elect to enroll. Full-time members may also receive childcare assistance, if eligible. 

d. AmeriCorps members are not considered employees of the program, the host site, nor of the government.
