Job Overview

World Pulse is looking for a Product Manager to join our passionate, mission-driven team. They will be responsible for the management of our website development, coordination with our software development agency, providing organizational support related to the management of the platform, and supporting ongoing business needs. This individual will work collaboratively with our CEO and executive leadership team and have an opportunity to drive our product vision.

Responsibilities

• Execute the product vision and manage the product roadmap, as well as align stakeholders to prioritize product features and capabilities
• Collaborate with the development agency to ensure product timelines are met and plan the resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
• Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan; utilizing best practices, techniques, and standards for MVPs (Minimum Viable Product) throughout entire project execution
• Track and manage product development timeline and budget
• Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, a related field or equivalent experience
• 5-8 years of project management
• Knowledge and familiarity of Drupal 7, Wordpress or other CMS platforms
• Experience in project management for product and/or platform development

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices (such as AWS or Google Analytics)
• Proven ability to solve problems creatively
• Experience managing software development projects through the full lifecycle
• Excellent analytical skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful
• Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
• Knowledge and/or certifications for agile development preferred
• Experience with platform migration, MVP (Minimum Viable Product) development, and/or start-ups preferred

Organizational and Work Environment

• Be active on the World Pulse online community.
• Participate in events and represent World Pulse.
• Due to the global nature of the organization, team members must be available occasionally to conduct work outside of office hours with prior notice.
• While the team member can live/work anywhere in the world, successful candidates must be available during core work hours for the U.S.-based team in the Pacific Time Zone.

Benefits and other details

• $40/hr (dependent on experience).
• This is a part-time contract position for six months (estimated 20 hours/week) with potential for a long-term opportunity.
