Domestic Violence Children/Youths Advocate

YWCA Children/Youths Domestic Violence Services provides advocacy trauma informed advocacy for children and parents in overcoming physical, mental and emotional abuse caused by violence in the home. Primary focus will be working with our BIPOC youths. During a series of eight weekly sessions, that may take place in schools, community centers and other confidential locations in South King County. The CYDVA will work with the youth, on safety planning, coping skills, impact of domestic violence, healthy relationships.

This position has a social justice component that will require critical thinking around how external systems influences the work that we are doing through the lens of racism and intersections with poverty.
