Arundel Community Development Services,  Inc. (ACDS)is a private, nonprofit corporation Annapolis, MD is seeking an experienced Eviction Prevention Counselor/Case Manager to work with limited income families and individuals residing in Anne Arundel County.

Responsibilities include providing housing stabilization case management and financial assistance to qualified households who face eviction including qualifying applicants by assessing and verifying need, connecting with landlords to procure required documents, and providing financial literacy counseling to assist applicants remain stably housed. 

Job Description

General responsibilities include processing applications for the ACDS Eviction Prevention Program, including determining eligibility by verifying need, connecting with landlords in the community to procure documentation, providing financial literacy counseling, coordinating cases with in-house legal services, and connecting applicants with non-housing related services.

Qualifications

The Eviction Prevention Counselor position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Human Services, or a closely related field with relevant work experience; training and experience which provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities.  Successful candidates will have demonstrated knowledge of case management, and eviction process and couseling.  Applicants must have strong oral and written communication skills. 

Compensation

Salary range is in mid to upper 50’s.  ACDS offers an excellent benefits package
