Who We Are

Founded in 2016, Path Forward is on a mission to empower stay-at-home mothers and other caregivers to restart their careers. We fulfill our mission by working with employers to launch, implement and expand return to work programs -- a specific workforce development program geared toward professionals with post-college work experience and a significant gap in their career due to unpaid caregiving. These programs open doors for people whose career gaps create an obstacle to getting hired, and change the culture of teams and companies by creating an environment where returning professionals can thrive. Our goal is for these programs to be ubiquitous in corporate America -- as common as campus recruiting, new grad cohorts and other programs aimed at attracting and retaining early career talent.

We’ve now built return to work programs with more than 80 companies, including top employers like Walmart, Netflix, Audible, NBCUniversal, PayPal and SAP. We’ve built a brand that is well-recognized by employers and returning caregivers alike and have now graduated more than 550 people, 80% of whom have converted into full-time jobs. (Read our 2021 Impact Statement here.)

What We Are Looking For

In 5 years we’ve attracted a large audience of returners across the US and worked with more than 80 employers to implement, run and expand successful return to work programs. We engage our audience with content designed to help them return to the workforce, host regular virtual events featuring our employer partners, program alumni, and other experts in the return to work field, and have had our work and programs showcased in major media outlets.

The Marketing Director will play a key role in continuing to build on Path Forward’s momentum by managing all aspects of building and scaling our audience and brand. The ideal candidate will be able to bring our mission and brand to life through messaging and storytelling that drives returner audience growth, employer partner interest and satisfaction, and donor engagement.
