*LIFT is operating in a hybrid environment, and this role will be expected to work in the office up to twice a week. 

 

POSITION OVERVIEW 

 

This role is an exciting opportunity for a highly organized, detail-oriented multitasker to contribute to the seamless functioning of the LIFT regional office. The Operations Manager is a critical member of the LIFT regional team and the first person our parents, partners, and supporters will meet when they come through our doors. This person will work hand-in-hand with the Executive Director (ED), supporting the ED with meeting preparation, scheduling, external correspondence, strategic projects, and board management. The Operations Manager is responsible for providing LIFT-New York with the high quality operational support it needs to ensure that the team has what it needs to deliver on high-quality work across all departments. This person should not only seamlessly manage existing operational systems, but also problem solve and improve upon the status quo. The Operations Manager will build a new standard of excellence for internal and external customer service.  

 

AS AN OPERATIONS MANAGER, YOU WILL: 


·      Provide administrative support to the Executive Director, which includes scheduling and preparing the Executive Director for critical internal and external meetings 

·      Partner with the Executive Director, Program Director, and Development Coordinator on board engagement as well as key strategic initiatives

·      Work with Development Coordinator and Program Manager of Parent Engagement to support regional program and fundraising events, including donor site visits, family-focused workshops, and celebrations  

·      Serve as LIFT New York’s first point of contact for parents; welcoming parents to our space, troubleshooting questions from coaches, and scheduling parent meetings with coaches via phone. OM shares this responsibility with the Program Manager, Parent Engagement in New York.   

·      Own overall office management, including adhering to building management and safety protocols, ordering supplies, serving as a touchpoint for office and technology support, and manage future office relocations if needed  

·      With the Executive Director and LIFT’s REI committee, help advance LIFT’s commitment to REI, implement LIFT-NY’s regional REI goals, bring an equity lens to operations and communications, pro-actively engage the entire team in REI learning, and bring forward ideas to improve our REI initiatives

·      Serve as a member of the Culture Committee representing the NY region and executing related initiatives such as ensuring the NY region is actively engaging in our culture, adding to a positive work environment, and following protocols in the Culture Guidebook

·      Provide operational management to the LIFT region’s team and partner with the National Office as needed to improve upon systems, tools, and resources   

·      Lead salesforce database entry and management for program and development data  


 

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE: 

 

·      Spanish proficiency is required

·      5+ years administrative and/or operations experience preferred; experience working or volunteering with low-income communities is a plus

·      Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience

·      Highly organized with excellent time management skills

·      Proven ability to apply sound judgment to meet deadlines on multiple tasks or projects despite frequent interruptions

·      Have a knack for devising creative solutions to any problem in your path

·      Thrive in a fast-paced environment and with the ability to re-prioritize throughout the day 

·      Customer-oriented and approach every situation with a spirit of generosity

·      Demonstrate good judgement and discretion 

·      Experienced user of MS Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel specifically); other systems a plus

WHAT WE OFFER: 

·      LIFT’s compensation philosophy is to pay competitively for our non-profit sector and ensure equity across the organization. The salary range for this role is $60,000 - $65,000. Compensation for the role will depend on several factors including qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, and may fall outside the range shown.

·      LIFT provides an attractive benefits package that includes employer-paid health care coverage (100% for employees, 75% for dependents), a 403(b) retirement plan including an employer match contribution, 12 weeks paid parental leave, partial cell phone coverage, and pre-tax accounts for transit, health, and childcare benefits. LIFT also provides a generous paid-time-off policy, including one-week company-wide vacation over the winter holidays and a one-week company-wide vacation over the summer fiscal year transition.
