KIPP LA currently operates 17 schools and serves approximately 7,200 students. Our team is expanding rapidly; over the next five years, we will more than double the number of students we serve.


The Opportunity


  • The HR Systems Analyst will support the maintenance and enhancement of KIPP LA’s human resources information system (HRIS) in addition to other systems supported by the Data & Analytics and Human Capital Team. While reporting to the Director of Data & Analytics, the HR Systems Analyst will also serve as a technical point of contact for the Human Capital and Talent teams. The HR Systems Analyst is responsible for ensuring data integrity, system configuration and integration, analytics and reporting, and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. The HR Systems Analyst will also support HRIS upgrades, patches, testing and other technical projects as assigned.
  • System Maintenance: Assist in the review, testing and implementation of system configurations and upgrades. Collaborate with functional and technical staff on the Human Capital, Talent, Payroll and IT teams to coordinate the application of the configuration or upgrade. Document process and results
  • Data Management: Ensure data integrity through regular audits, data imports and data reports. Recommend process improvements and innovative solutions that leverage system functionalities to drive optimal efficiency in data management
  • Reports and Analytics: Write, maintain and support a variety of reports or queries using appropriate reporting tools. Collaborate with Human Capital and Talent Teams to produce relevant HR Analytics and standard reports for ongoing functional needs
  • Production Support: Provide support for HRIS, including researching and resolving HRIS problems, unexpected results or process flaws; performing scheduled activities; recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements
  • System Integrations: Build and maintain data flow integrations among HR and Talent systems
  • Training: Develop user procedures, guidelines and documentation
  • Vendor Relations: Maintain awareness of current developments and changes in HRIS and other Talent Systems with a focus on product and service development, delivery and support, and applying key technologies.


The Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree is required
  • 2 or more years of HRIS or other data management system experience preferred
  • Project or product management experience
  • Systems implementation experience a plus. Specific experience with Namely is preferred but not required
  • Scripting experience a plus, but willingness to learn required (SQL, R, Python, Batch, JavaScript, HTML, etc.)
  • Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel required
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools a plus (Tableau, Qlikview, Microstrategy, etc.)
