Position Summary:


The Associate Director of Housing will work with the Housing Director to help manage the operations of ARC’s Housing Programs and administration of their respective contracts. The successful candidate will have: a strong sense of teamwork with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team; ability to prioritize; flexibility and good judgment; ability to hold confidential information with integrity; ambition to develop new skills; a strong case management background; organizational skills and detail-oriented strengths.


The Associate Director of Housing is responsible for co-supervising and mentoring Housing Program Coordinators in their operations, program requirements, training, hiring and recruiting. This position will also be essential in helping to oversee compliance of site-specific programs to ensure that they meet all grant funding requirements. Additionally, this position will play a key role in identifying/expanding housing opportunities for ARC’s Sacramento Membership.


Typical Duties:


·      Oversee all documentation and data as required by grant funding parameters.

·      Conducting monthly audits of member files to ensure documentation compliance.

·      Gain proficiency in and supervise multiple databases based on contract and ARC casemanagement requirements.

·      Create new pathways for members with educational facilities in proximity to housing programs.

·      Support Housing Director in recruitment, HR issues, and overall management issues along with Housing Director and Human Resources Team.

·      Work with Finance Department and Housing Director to facilitate monthly invoicing for contracts.

·      Support in staff development – personnel planning, training programs, performance measures, disciplinary measures, investigations and write ups.

·      Create and maintain strong relationships with external entities (funding sources, parole, probation departments, etc.).

·      Maintain strong, collaborative communications with Member Services Team regarding housing members in multiple ARC spaces.

·      Oversee monthly petty cash and transporation expenditures.

·      Support with creating budgets for new programs/projects.

·      Maintain a presence at Community Meetings/Dinners and events.

·      Serve as back up on-call as needed.


Qualifications:

·      Bachelor Degree required,

o  At least four consecutive years of non-profit management experience; or

o  BA requirement can be waived if a total minimum of seven years non-profit experience.

·      Experience working in the juvenile or criminal justice fields.

·      Management experience: Supervising staff, managing resources, developing and writing reports, etc.

·      Superior written and oral communication skills.

·      Can work effectively in a fast paced, sometimes stressful environment.

·      Has professional acumen, high energy, and is a team player.
