The Fund for the City of New York, in partnership with government agencies, nonprofit institutions, and foundations, develops and implements innovations in policy programs, practices, and technology in order to advance the functioning of government and nonprofit organizations in New York City and beyond. Through the Fund’s Partner Project Program, the Fund provides for its Partner Projects financial management services, including monthly expense and revenue reports and financial reports for government agencies, funders and audits.

Position Overview

The Fund is seeking an Associate Portfolio Manager to join our team of contract managers in the Partner Project Program. The position is temporary and will last up to twelve months with the possibility of extension. Reporting directly to the Director of the Partner Program, the Associate Portfolio Manager will be responsible for managing the tracking, invoicing, and administrative management for several government contracts. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, knowledgeable and adaptive to various information and data systems, capable of synthesizing various forms of data, and able to meet deadlines. 

Responsibilities

  • Filing monthly or quarterly invoices depending on contract requirements
  • Review and approval of accounts payable requests.
  • Running and refining data sets of financial transactions.
  • Inputting contract data into accounting and management systems.

Qualifications

  • A four year college degree
  • One to three years of professional experience
  • A willingness to utilize automated systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work both independently, with strong initiative, as well as collaboratively with a small team.
  • Advanced knowledge of database and spreadsheet (Excel) software, familiarity with SAP Concur a plus.
  • Familiarity with New York City contracting sites HHS Accelerator and PASSPort a plus.
