The District of Columbia College Access Program (DC-CAP) is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to increase the number of Washington, DC, public high school students who enter and graduate from college. We are seeking a Finance Program Manager who will assist in the financial management of a major sub-grant to, and partnership with, another local NGO. The Finance Program Manager will provide oversight and support for the financial administration of the sub-grant. This position will be a resource for compliance issues and questions in connection with the Funder requirements and the sub-grantee. The selected individual will report to the Vice President of Finance and Administration.




  • Assist in the preparation of the annual organization budget
  • Assist in the preparation of external audit materials and requests
  • Prepare financial reports for funders
  • Prepare grant proposals budgets
  • Manage grants award process in collaboration with the Development Team
  • Support in drafting and modifying sub-grant agreements, working with the appropriate program staff
  • Prepare financial reports related to budget for program areas
  • Assist in the development of policies, procedures and priorities relating to Finance Management and budget
  • Develop a schedule of expected revenue and follow-up with the Development team on payments
  • Grants Management


  • Assist in the audit of the Organization database and School records for High Schools, Retention and other programs
  • Other duties as assigned



  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills
  • Experience in financial processing, reporting and not-for-profit accounting
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a Financial Management role
