Description

Dumela Lodge is situated in the Greater Kruger area and plays host to African Impact Foundation volunteers who join projects spanning Research, Photography and Community, all with focuses on sustainability. An upbeat positive individual required by a volunteer organisation to run the project base (Dumela Lodge) where the volunteers and staff live whilst in South Africa on project. Volunteers stay from 2 weeks up to 6 months. You will be responsible for ensuring that all lodge systems are running correctly and liaise with guests (volunteers) to ensure they are comfortable and enjoy their stay at the lodge. The lodge must be run efficiently throughout all departments (Kitchen / Housekeeping / Maintenance / Guest Liaising / Trips and Tours / Etc. You will be living in the Greater Kruger Area, 40 mins from Kruger Park itself. Volunteers work on projects working in local communities, in the reserves with the African Big 5 and more as well as photography and conservation.


This role is perfect or someone who is passionate about hospitality, an individual who thrives on being organised with a great eye for detail. Dumela is a beautiful lodge boasting a lot of rooms, a beautiful large swimming pool, an outside boma and braai area and is situated on 18 hectares of prime Africa bush with a herd of impala, numerous bush busk and nyala all living on the property. We are surrounded by Big 5 reserves with lions, hyenas and elephants all being heard at night.
