Put purpose before profit
Join us to build an economy that puts purpose before profit. We're looking for ambitious Project Leads and Programme Managers to join our Associate Programme, a one year full-time leadership programme that combines commercial ways of working with social or environmental impact.
The Associate Programme is the perfect launch-pad for your purpose-driven career. It is a one year programme that combines paid work with professional and personal development.
Here’s how it works:
Placements: You work in two purpose-oriented organisations for six months each - for example, providing solar energy for families in rural areas in East Africa at our partner Mobisol or integrating individual with special abilities into the workforce with diversicon. You take on new challenges and use your existing skills to solve key problems for the organisations.
Mentors and coaches: You meet a mentor fortnightly who guides and challenges you to add value in your placement. You meet an executive coach six times during the year on the programme focused on your personal development.
Training: Every Friday afternoon you hear from experts from diverse sectors who share their knowledge and experience with you and your cohort. We receive training from top professionals including Ernst&Young, Kienbaum, Social Impact Lab and our alumni who work in social enterprise organisations. Your cohort is also a powerful group of like-minded people with whom you share your learning and experience.
Community: We’ve had more than 1,500 Associates, placements, mentors, coaches and trainers across London, Paris and Berlin all of whom contribute to building a sustainable economy.
The Associate Programme is full time, based in Berlin and runs for 12 months from October 2018. You work in your placement 4.5 days a week and spend Friday afternoons with your cohort in training. You are paid a salary of €20.000 per year.
After the programme, 85% of Associates continue to work in purpose-led organisations, for example like Luca as Project Lead at Elternleben.de or Christina who leads a team of 10 for the online platform Abgeordnetenwatch.de.
Applications are evaluated on a rolling basis. We are selecting and interviewing candidates on a 'first come, first serve' basis.
Come and meet past and present programme participants and the On Purpose team at one of our events in Berlin, Frankfurt, Munich and Hamburg throughout March and April 2018.
You need to have a valid work permit for Germany to apply, as we are not able to sponsor visas for the programme. We're also recruiting fluent French and English speakers for our Associate Programmes in Paris and London.
We are a community that welcomes diversity in all forms, through different professional and personal backgrounds and encourage applications from anyone who’s passionate about purpose-led work. If you’re unsure if you should apply, please be in touch with us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
