Adelante’s Family Engagement programming was created in response to the critical need for strength-based, high quality, culturally responsive essential involvement of families. The Family Engagement Component focuses on collaborative relationship-based curriculum with empowerment activities where families receive respectful, caring and positive involvement opportunities to develop their leadership skills and become active advocates of their children. We honor and support the parent-child relationships through our two-generation programing that encourages children and parent learning together.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
As the leader of the Family Engagement Team, the Family Engagement Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination and execution of the parent and family involvement programing of the Education Programs at Adelante Mujeres. The Family Engagement Manager ensures and promotes collaborative relationships between staff, children, and families through a culturally responsive curriculum that will ensure sharing of strengths and abilities to support children and families’ goal achievement. The Manager assures that the Family Engagement staff work as a team to provide high quality parenting education programing to support parents in their important role as their children’ first teacher. The Manager works in collaboration with Adelante Staff, partners and parents in implementing the vision and daily operations of the program in compliance with appropriate policies, procedures and practices. The ideal candidate will be inspired by and fully committed to Adelante Mujeres’ vision and mission, and have a history of working with young children, teachers and families. The Manager reports to the Director of Education Programs.
